Our proposition / insight: Make Up is about the perfect color. L’Oreal’s got them all.

Colour is essential to our lives. It starts right in the morning when you grab your toothbrush, I bet it has a bright colour. Seconds later you wisely match the colours of your clothes. Then it is all about the mots important part of you, your face. L‘Oreal is the colour on your face, in your life.

We invite a number of artists to create a pice of art around the theme of colour. The only limitation is that they have to use the colours of L‘Oreal. They have to paint with Make Up. Later in the campaign, these artworks will be displayed in an exhibition. Our Target audiance is every female out on the street. L‘Oreal has a huge brand awareness, their target group includes woman from 14 to 75 or even older. We try to concentrate on the huge middle sector of 20 to 50 years.

Main part of the campaign is the interactive / mobile area as like an exhibition. In real life the consumer can take part in the creative process themselves.

With a mobile app people can draw their own pictures live in the street which will be published on digital billboards. Consumers can connect their smart phone to interactive CityLights. In the app they choose a colour as like a L‘Oreal product, for example a lipstick or an eyeliner, as a brush. Now they can paint through the movement of the phone. Later they can print their artwork on postcards to take them home and share them with friends.

Online everybody is invited upload pictures which they created on the CityLights to the „Colour of your life“ microsite. Your profile is created through facebook connect. You have the chance to like, comment, share and view pictures. The „Exhibition“ section features some of the artists taking part in the event. The top 10, liked artworks, will be added to the exhibition, which  is also promoted through ambient events. In the L‘Oreal area the consumer can klick on artworks and discover the Makeup used. Promotion example: With the help of a pressure washer and a stencil we will use existing graffitis to transform them into nice looking and colourful faces.

There will be Posters, with some of the artworks as like banners on the internet to promote the event. The claim „Colour of your life.“ is integrated into the displayed artwork of the poster. This should link the two different layers of picture and typography together. The aim of the poster is to promote the exhibition in the first way. The brand of L‘Oreal stays in the back. Lots of people will visit the exhibition not knowing that it is a L‘Oreal event. This evokes a strong aha experience and forms the brand in a positive way in the mind of the consumer as it will create a comforting memory.

The idea for the TV spot is to show that Europcar delivers faster than you can imagine. The spot shows an elderly married couple sitting on a sofa in their living-room drinking a cup of tea. The husband has just called Europcar and hired a car which will be delivered right to their door. Because he booked the „we deliver“ service. After a few seconds a steering wheel drops from above direct into the mans hands. Then the whole car starts to build up around them in their living-room. Just seconds later they are sitting in the hired car, driving out of their living-room. The claim appears behind the car which is gone. „Faster delivery than your local takeaway.“ Then the spot ends with contact details of Europcar and an open pizza box which contains a car key to get the feeling of a very fast delivery like takeaways do.

The direct mail comes in the shape of a little pizza box that is completely branded by Europcar. If the person who received the box will open it, the first thing he recognizes is a car key and the claim. „Faster delivery than your local takeaway.“ When the person graps the car key and is pulling it out, a little list of cars that are available folds out. The clue is that the cars don‘t just have their ordinary names. They have names like Pepperoni Golf or Focus Speciale. These names are important because they are the promotional quote to hire a car cheaper than normal.

We start improving the web layout and made it clear and more simple to use. The user is  now able to choose a car directly from the car pool by flipping the pictures of every single car. Underneath the pictures are some details of the chosen car. If a user likes an offer he just has to click on  the „order online now“ and the car is coming to the costumers door within one hour. This is as easy as ordering a pizza. Now it is even possible to order a car with a smartphone using the new Europcar app. The particular solution for this app is that the costumer can see how long it will take until his hired car is approaching.

Our proposition: Its a Country full of Opportunities.

Switzerland is an amazing country. It is full of opportunities and challenges for visitors. But expat for skiing and boarding in the winter holidays Switzerland has not lots of visitors. We want to change that with our „Plus – Campaign.“The strategy is to show people the richness of opportunities they have when they visit this amazing spot in Europe. Our target audience is everyone who travels. From Ffamilies, nature lovers to young people on their first trip. The „Plus Campaign“ shows the variation the country offers with a „Plus“ of fun.

A Plus poster is a country shot with for example a biker. But it also shows with pure graphics some „Plus“ features the swiss has which are not that obvious. You can see „Nature shaped plusses in the Landscape or the sky.

There will also be a web site with a strong social component, where you can share vote and set up new routs for traveling. Google Maps will be a big part at the web site. With a little plus icon people can share spots which are special to them.

The promotion Movie shows how much fun one can have in Switzerland during the summer as like in the winter.  It shows young people experiencing switzerland in a way that is catching and fun to watch. Some are jumping and flying with their BMX bikes into a pond. Another one is skiing down the alps, classic. At different scenes plus signs will pop up showing the beholder what makes this country special. It is a movie full of emotions for a country rich of opportunities one just have to discover. It gives you an ideas what you could go for when you plan your next holidays.

As type face we decided to use Max Miedingers, swiss designed Helvetica Neue LT STD. There could not be a better suiting font for the campaign, as switzerland is famous for their clean design and graphical style. The colours of the campaign are black, white and red. Black and white are used for the typing depending on the background. Red is just used to illustrate the Swiss flag.

As described at the beginning there will be flash drives branded by Dropbox which will be distributed in public. Many people will think that they get a free USB flash drive sponsored by Dropbox. But after they plugged in their new flash drive at home they will see that this flash drive has no space on it, just a direct link to www.dropbox.com to sign up for getting 2GB webspace for free. Because you don´t need hard drives anymore if you got Dropbox. But the flash drive is not just an empty flash drive with an ad on it. It can be used to find little dropboxes which are spread all over the city. To find those little boxes the user can use the iPhone app to see where the boxes are hidden and what they contain. If a box is found the flash drive will notice and save what the box contains. This could be more space or even music albums. Being back home the users can transfer those collected items to their Dropbox.

To promote this campaign there will be different media like beermats, bags and postcards which will be send to the target audience. Every media is telling to „drop more“ than the common stuff like glasses, shoppings or the mail. These media talks to a bride range of audience and reaches lots of people. The idea to „drop more“ could be  continued an any other things that can be dropped.

As described there will be a free flash drive that has not got any space but it is an important tool to collect little Dropboxes which are spread all over the city. This page shows how it would look like if a user is plugging a promoted flash drive to his computer. A little window will pop up which is explaining the spectator how Dropbox works and how easy it is to use. On the next page the user should create an account and is able to invite friends to use Dropbox. Because Dropbox becomes more effective if many friends use Dropbox to share digital stuff.. In addition the user can download the Dropbox app and read how the „collect boxes“ game works.

Supporting the idea published on the posters, pure will launch 12 unique projects. No one likes to get soaked in the rain, or rain at all. Pure created a special umbrella to work towards people starting to like pure water falling down from the sky. The umbrella works upside down, so that it collects the water instead of wasting it. A straw attached to the handle bar enables the owner of the umbrella to take a sip when ever he, she likes. Another project would be to attach water fountains to the millennium bridge in the summer. Everybody who crosses can take a mini shower.

With a mobile app you can scan the barcode and look up who bottled your water. You have the chance to lern something about that person. What he likes about Evian, for how long she or he lives there and may be which are their favorite spots in the city. All this should inspire you to make a trip to Evian and to build up a deeper relationship to the product. On the website the campaign comes together. You have the chance to look at the 12 project, to learn something about Evian pure and about the people who make Evian become special.

We are in a restaurant. A couple is chatting when a waiter reaches the table. He greats the guests and takes the oder. The woman likes to have a glass of wine and a bottle of water supporting her meal. When the waiter comes back with the drinks he first serves the whine and then forwards some water directly into the moth of the female. Not from a bottle, the water floats in mid air in the hand of the waiter. Everybody is acting like normal – To pure for packaging. Evian Pure.

Brief: Develop a marketing campaign that gives new consumers a motivating reason to trade up to Green&Black’s above the other premium chocolate brands.

As chocolate is about eating and tasting, it is science, which leads us to the insight: Chocolate tastes better when one lets it melt in the mouth. Green and Black’s will help you finding the best way to taste the full richness of their chocolate. Welcome to the club of savour. This club is designed for chocolate lovers. It’s for people who take their time enjoying and celebrating chocolate. The campaign is the first step. It displays the ground rules of chocolate savouring. Consumers will learn that Green&Black’s are specialists in chocolate and taste. We use information design to instruct the “lovers” how to enjoy the full taste of a Green&Black’s chocolate bar. Posters are the main part of the campaign, followed by a microsite and an iPhone app to rate, learn and create the tastes. Media: Poster, Digital Team: Jakob & Chris

There are two poster categories. One is a “global” version, featuring the whole Green&Black’s range and displaying the melting indicator of chocolate. The other is a specific one, which focuses on a special flavoured bar. There can be variousposters portraying the qualities of for example Maya Gold.

To go digital, the poster will lead to a micro site. Club members can rate their favourite flavour in the “Best-Loved” section. “How To Taste” is the category to learn more about chocolate tasting. This is home of the graphs. In the “Chocolate Club” consumers can create their own flavours – The winning mixture will be produced for a limited time through the summer. Within the “Flavour Finder” people can discover the whole richness of Green & Black’s Original Chocolate and see which flavour suites them best.

The iPhone app is a pocket version of the micro site. You can rate, create and learn about your favourite Green & Black’s Chocolate bar and share this with your friends at facebook.

Main part of the campaign are posters with “Lucozade Trees” in an ex-animated surrounding, like the desert. We exhibit that there is no further life in these areas but the Lucozade Tree. Because of its power it  is the only being which can grow in secluded places. We sell Lucozade as the magic of nature, the eighth wonder of the world. The campaign comes with the claim: “Natures verve for magic”. Media: Poster, Web-Banner, Ambient. Team: Jakob & Chris

Lucozade Posters

A Lucozade–Tree in the desert. A sign next to it saying: Miracle. Meaning, this is definitely not a “normal” tree. There aren’t oranges or cherry developing from the bloom but Lucozade bottles, ready to pick.

In an highly art-directed poster the trees would glow in a rich green, full of life and power. The bottles seem to pop out of the tree. Little details around the trees would make the campaign fun to watch. To take the campaign into digital there will be a microsite and viral spots on YouTube which’ll take you into the magical world of Lucozade. A scientist explains how the magic works – but of course they are not sure. An iPhone app will tell you which flavour to drink in a specific situations, because various flavours come up you with different powers.

Jakob’s and my approach wa to create a Stop-Motion-Movie, without any action – “Nothing”. Nothing – A Film with nothing in it. In the film Jason is on his way through the city. First he has to avoid an accident with a red Mustang, but if he knew whats coming next, he would have stopped driving at all. It is a film where nothing happens. It is a ride through the town. And that is the point of the movie. Because there is no accident, why make the film at all? All three posters are featuring the two characters of the car crash movie. The main essence is, that a film without a car crash is boring and not worth watching.
Within the app you have to drive a car through the city and avoid car crashes. Before you start you can take a picture of your favourite car in the streets. The app will create a model so that you can drive the same type in the game. It is a spur for you to labour.

Nothing is a stop motion film created of over 670 pictures. The city as like the type is drawn onto the ground at the park in the centre of High Wycombe.
