Switzerland is a landlocked country in the middle of europe geographically divided between the Alps, the Central Plateau and the Jura, spanning an area of 41,000 km2. That are 41.000 km of fun. When it comes to holiday planning the swiss is not really in the front of a consumers mind. Our challenge will be to introduce switzerland to a wide range of people not only for the winter holidays.
Our proposition: Its a Country full of Opportunities.
Switzerland is an amazing country. It is full of opportunities and challenges for visitors. But expat for skiing and boarding in the winter holidays Switzerland has not lots of visitors. We want to change that with our „Plus – Campaign.“The strategy is to show people the richness of opportunities they have when they visit this amazing spot in Europe. Our target audience is everyone who travels. From Ffamilies, nature lovers to young people on their first trip. The „Plus Campaign“ shows the variation the country offers with a „Plus“ of fun.
A Plus poster is a country shot with for example a biker. But it also shows with pure graphics some „Plus“ features the swiss has which are not that obvious. You can see „Nature shaped plusses in the Landscape or the sky.
There will also be a web site with a strong social component, where you can share vote and set up new routs for traveling. Google Maps will be a big part at the web site. With a little plus icon people can share spots which are special to them.
The promotion Movie shows how much fun one can have in Switzerland during the summer as like in the winter. It shows young people experiencing switzerland in a way that is catching and fun to watch. Some are jumping and flying with their BMX bikes into a pond. Another one is skiing down the alps, classic. At different scenes plus signs will pop up showing the beholder what makes this country special. It is a movie full of emotions for a country rich of opportunities one just have to discover. It gives you an ideas what you could go for when you plan your next holidays.
As type face we decided to use Max Miedingers, swiss designed Helvetica Neue LT STD. There could not be a better suiting font for the campaign, as switzerland is famous for their clean design and graphical style. The colours of the campaign are black, white and red. Black and white are used for the typing depending on the background. Red is just used to illustrate the Swiss flag.
